1. General

De NatuurApotheek highly values the protection of your privacy, the security of your personal data, and your medication record. In order to provide proper pharmaceutical care, we record your contact details and pharmaceutical data. We do this in accordance with the provisions of the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When you submit a question via our website www.natuurapotheek.com, we ask you to enter your personal data. This enables De NatuurApotheek to handle your question or request appropriately.

We need your personal data for various services, such as answering questions, preparing invoices, and delivering the products you have ordered.

2. Use of personal data

We only use your data for providing pharmaceutical care and related administration, and we protect your data against third-party access. We retain your data as long as necessary for providing care, as long as required by law, and as long as necessary for research into potential new therapies. After this period, we will delete your data upon request.

We exchange data with other healthcare providers, such as general practitioners, specialists, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacies, hospitals, physiotherapists, phytotherapists, acupuncturists, orthomolecular therapists, homeopaths, anthroposophists, and other naturopathic physicians and therapists. This is done through secure systems and only when necessary for current care or with your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

Our staff access your data only when necessary to perform their duties. By using our services, you automatically consent to staff accessing your data. All employees of De NatuurApotheek are bound by confidentiality obligations. We request your permission before sharing your medication data with hospitals, general practitioners, and other pharmacies.

3. Security

We have contracted IT providers for the maintenance and management of our information systems. These providers have been carefully selected and bound by confidentiality and security agreements. Security measures according to NEN7510 (Dutch healthcare information security standard) are applied. In the event that unauthorized access to your data occurs despite these measures, we will report this to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

4. Cookies

De NatuurApotheek uses cookies to improve its services and website. When you visit the website, a cookie is stored. Cookies are small files stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. You can disable cookies in your browser, although this may limit website functionality. Cookies help us optimize the website to meet customer needs and preferences.

5. Your rights: access and modification

You have the right to access your data. If your data is incorrect or incomplete, you may request correction, supplementation, or deletion. In some cases, full compliance may not be possible (e.g., if your access would infringe on another’s privacy). If you cannot resolve the matter, you may file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. De NatuurApotheek may update this privacy policy. The current version can always be consulted on our website. We recommend reviewing this policy before providing personal data to De NatuurApotheek.
