Thyroid medication (Thyreoidum)
De NatuurApotheek provides custom-made natural thyroid medication, including thyreoidum. A valid prescription from a qualified healthcare practitioner is required. On this page, you’ll find practical information about requesting, submitting and renewing prescriptions.

Prescription request & delivery
To order thyreoidum, your treating physician must send us a valid prescription. Processing and delivery usually takes about two weeks. This process includes:

Prescription approval by the physician (1-3 working days).

Preparation by the pharmacy (1-3 working days).

Delivery by the parcel service (1-3 working days).
Please do not call for status updates. We will contact you if there are any changes.
Always request a new prescription on time (at least 2 weeks before your medication runs out).

Requirements for a valid prescription
Your prescription must include the following information:

Physician details: name, phone number, email.

Patient details: name, date of birth, address, phone number, email.

Medication: dosage, quantity, dosage frequency, and allowed refills.

Repeat prescription: valid for a maximum of 1 year (by law).
Incomplete information? Incomplete prescriptions cannot be processed and may cause delays. Ensure that all information is complete.
Request repeat prescription
A repeat prescription can be submitted in two ways:

Note: A repeat prescription can only be processed if we have previously received an original repeat prescription. Otherwise, a new prescription is required.
Reimbursement for Thyreoidum
Thyreoidum is usually not reimbursed by health insurers. You will need to pay the invoice yourself. You may submit the invoice to your insurer. Some specialists can request authorization, which may lead to reimbursement. This must always be done again for each prescription.
